STAYCATION

Ah yes, summer. Where the sun, sand and sea make up for the best destination. However, with my Internship coming up and my parents having work, there's a slim chance we could go out together so, a STAYcation is the next best thing. My mom had a voucher to the Privato Hotel in Shaw Blvd. so we stayed there overnight. Clearly we had no idea what the hotel has to offer so we searched online for some details and reviews. (Which is their site and facebook page)

DAY 1: Discover

We checked in at the hotel around 2pm. We booked 2 rooms on the same floor. A twin for me and my sister and a queen for my parents. We read in some reviews that the wifi was slow inside the rooms, but when we connected, it was not that bad (the review might be outdated).
After settling in, we decided to take a swim. [note: Monday is their maintenance day so the pool is closed by then] The pool was at the left side of the 23rd floor (RD) and the bar at the right. The pool might not be able to accommodate a lot of guests, but it was acceptable. We swam, while my dad booked us dinner at Bistro United which was just around the corner.

We didn't know what to expect of the place and the food but when we got there we were greeted with a pleasantly dainty restaurant. The place was small but beautiful, they have ala carte meals and buffets during weekends. We went for the buffet (no surprise) which as I recall was 350php/person. The place did not disappoint, and I bet we'd be going back here soon.

After dinner we went back to the hotel to freshen up, then we spent the night at the Roof Deck lounge; the Verona, till closing. There was a dress code and was only till 10pm on Sundays but till 12mn the rest of the days. We bought cocktails and appetizers, talked and laughed. It was a good day, a little escape from the responsibilities we had to face on the week to come.

Day2: We check out today.

We were up early for breakfast at the Piazza Privato (6th floor), it was either ala carte or buffet and I'm sure you've already guessed what we went for. Haha. There were a few choices but the food was good. The service was a bit slow, maybe given that a big group arrived that might have caught them off guard. Then we got back to our rooms, packed up and checked out.

We had a great time even if it is a small, budget-friendly hotel. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. Truly a Staycation well spent here at Privato. Surely one to be recommended. Thank you.

Watch the Vlog here!

Watch out for the summer lookbook that was shot at Privato as well.

Remember that the day may pass, but the memories will last. So make the most of it.

Always,

-Y
