BUILDING IT UP

“Everyone has their own style”

For sure, we have all heard this saying, and yes it is true. Style is how you REcreate something you see on the streets, on the Internet, in magazines etc. into your own version. A version that you love and is confident with.

Even though there are a lot of fashion trends presented to us, there’s still some difficulty in making it your own, and making it unique. Some even struggle to find their own style. Don't downright say "that is not my style", because style is not a category. You can be minimalist today, and be bohemian the next day, and so on. Don't be worried about the so called "fashion rules", Rules are meant to be broken anyway, right? HA HA

Finding your own style does not happen overnight. It takes a lot of experimentation. Just like in the laboratory, there are positive and negative results, but the experiment doesn't stop there. Do not be afraid to go out there and try new things. Surely there will be fails, but there will also be success. You wouldn't know what you'll look like in that particular clothing piece if you don't try it on. Look for inspiration and put your own twist to it.

Don't be afraid of what others will say, because believe me they're experimenting to find their style as well. It's a life long process especially with the trends changing fast. But who says you have to follow them right? Experimentation is the key to finding your own personal style, but confidence will make or break how your wear your style

QUICK TIP: You don't always have to break the bank. If you have an outfit in mind or something you want to buy, but now sure if it's for you? Go to stores and grab those pieces (the whole outfit) and try it on in the fitting room and see if you like it or not. (This is what I usually do). There, you're already in the experimentation process. Sometimes if it's too expensive for me, I find cheaper alternatives or look alikes in tiangges.

Remember : It's not about what you're wearing, it's how you wear it.
